Matthew 6:33 (AMP) But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you.
Friday night was date night for Cherelle and I. We had a chance to hang out with a few couples from the church. Thank you to the baby sitter! Quality time with my wife is the next best thing to recharge my battery and quality of life after Christ!
We had an awesome time at our iRefuse Men’s Breakfast this Saturday morning. Special thanks to Brad Huddleston’s ministry on sexual purity and addiction to technology. I am reminded of 2Timothy 2:2-4 “2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” Many men were educated and set free from the dark side of technology. We are walking in victory and purity!
ME5 (Marriage Enterprises)
Cherelle and I have a marriage ministry based from Ephesians 5:20-33. We had an opportunity to host an Intimacy and Spiritual Union workshop Sunday evening. We had a wonderful and powerful time in the Lord. There were 7 couples that joined us. We had a wide range of diversity. One couple are 19days from marriage and another couple have been married for 26 years! It is not enough to be Christian and married, but we must also have Christ-centered marriages. Renewed minds about what sexual intimacy is, and what it means to seek God together and for one another!
Thank You for Provision
This Sunday I did not preach, but I received a mighty word from Pastor AJ who ministered at DUCC from Matthew 6 entitled “God’s Got it” (Click here for the notes). His message was on time, very encouraging, and convicting. I really believe that this word was what the church needed!
My personal reflection: God spoke a word to me years ago that I would live according to His favor and not my bank account. The main thing I need to focus on is seeking God and stewarding what He has provided. However there are times when I doubt or worry about how things are going to happen, but as I listened on Sunday morning I was reminded that I have nothing to worry about, because GOD GOT IT! I am convinced that God’s word is true, and active in my life, and every time I have worried, God has provided. He has provided peace, joy, a house, good health, and church. I have nothing to worry about.
A.S.K. (Ask, Seek, Knock)
I would like to take this Monday Moment to encourage you from Matthew 7:7-11 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
