Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! For me and my family we had an awesome time. Especially that it was Chloe’s first Christmas, made this one very special. She enjoyed the boxes, and wrapping paper just as much as the gifts, lol. We also had the opportunity to visit my brother, and his family in New York. It does my parents so much joy to see their two granddaughters together. Being around family is a healthy reminder of what the Lord has done in my life. Many people are ridiculed or challenged by family in regards to their faith, but I must say my family encourages me, and reminds me of what the Lord has called me to. I want to give a public thank you to my parents, brother & sister in love for the continual support and encouragement.
Breaking the Silence.
Sometimes after the Christmas holiday we have somewhat of a hangover, and our energy is zapped. But for me it is after the birth of Christ that the fun starts! This past Sunday “Unwrapping the Gift” was our topic. We came from Luke 2:13-14 where it says, “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!” As we look at the birth of Christ, we understand that there was a silence between God and man being broken. When we look at Jesus, we understand that He wrapped Himself in flesh (incarnation) that we may have the opportunity to share in the gift of eternal life! The birth of Christ is a prophetic release from Heaven! I believe that there are many of us that are or at least feel like we are living in disconnection with God. We are going through the motions of what we it looks like to have an authentic, harmonious relationship with Christ, but truth of the matter we are struggling. Be encouraged today by Matthew 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” God is with us family! That truth alone is an encouragement and comfort that we are not disconnected nor rejected. We are received and redeemed by Christ! Let this holiday season be a reminder of God’s word coming to pass in all the earth, and in our lives! The Silence has been Broken! Now that the word has been spoken walk in liberty and confidence!
2014 is here:
As this year draws to a rapid close, I want to encourage you to REJOICE! Things may not have been the best for you this year, or maybe this has been a year overflowing with great joy, and blessings! Either way REJOICE! One of the best ways you could prepare for the upcoming year is to get a word from the Lord to stand on and remind you that His will is active in your life! However you bring in the New Year, be safe and Christ-centered.
