Walk it Out
This past weekend was full of wonderful events. I am excited about the Super Bowl matchup of the Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos. Cool fact about the Seattle Seahawks, is that they have quite a few believers on their team. Check out this interview: Jesus is better than the Super Bowl. It is encouraging to know that people in that realm LOVE JESUS!
My wife, Cherelle also effectually known as Lady J is officially launching her heart cry and ministry for women entitled IronDresses (Click Here). She had the opportunity to shoot commercial and video commentary for the ministry and her book “Strength in Femininity”. I am very proud of her and humbled to walk with her through this journey. The Lord has done and is doing a marvelous work through her and I believe many women are going to be impacted and encouraged with the Gospel of Christ through IronDresses. I want to say thank you to Brad & Beth Huddleston who opened their home and studio to help get this ministry launched.
Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! It is incredible to have the opportunity to celebrate and live in the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. I am grateful for the sacrifice, and purposeful example that he set in his effort to be obedient to what the Lord had called him to do as a prophet to the nation, and game changer to the world. What I enjoy the most is that his convictions were rooted in the Lord. Listening to the “I have a Dream Speech” it delighted me to hear Isaiah 40 quoted to prepare the way of the Glory of the Lord to be revealed. In addition to that Harrisonburg just dedicated and renamed a street in honor of Dr. King, and I had the opportunity to march on “MLK Way” in this celebration.
It was good to have many students back in the building! This week we had a powerful service at Divine Unity Community Church as we continued exploring Matthew 16:13-19. This week we covered the Believer’s Authority #liveit. We covered this idea: “You have God-given authority according to your God-given assignment!” (Click here for notes) Family I am convinced that God is doing a mighty work this year in our church, and in the lives of many people. My prayer is that we will recognize that God has designed us that His power flow through us that the world may know who He is and how to have a relationship with Him. Our power is in us living out what God has put in us, and called us to do. Where God’s promises are His provision is there too. Family we are protected by God Almighty! Romans 8:31 declares if God is for us, than who can be against us? Romans 8:37 says we are more than conquerors. My prayer is that we will understand and walk in our God given authority.
