Happy Monday family and friends!
Cherelle and I are off to Orlando this week for some quality vacation and marriage enrichment! We are attending a marriage conference for pastors with our Every Nation Network and enjoying the suits and scenes of Orlando Florida. Chloe will not be with us as she is with the grandparents for the week. We miss her already but we are LOOKING forward to our time together.
Here are the Monday moments for this week.
4th of July
I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July weekend. We had a great one in Harrisonburg. My wife Cherelle ran her first 10k #valley4thrun. Cherelle along with quite a number of other runners from Harrisonburg and beyond. I am so proud of Cherelle’s accomplishment and she is a great motivation for me #healthybodieshealthybabies.
Church Cook out
We had our 3rd annual 4th of July cookout as a church. These are becoming epic events! Great fellowship, awesome food, and competitive basketball. It is interesting to see how DUCC is developing. I love my church! #DUCClife
Take The City
A member of our congregation and friend Chris Jones is running for city council in Harrisonburg. I am excited to see what the Lord is doing in his life. Many of us had they opportunity to walk in the parade to support his campaign. Awesome view of our city as we walked down the street. For more info visit votechrisjones.com
This Sunday I had the privilege to preach from Psalms 139, as we discussed the marvelous truth that God is omniscient & omnipresent. It is a relief to know that God is sovereign over our lives and involved in our lives. David in this Psalm points out three things I would like for you to remember. Big idea: God knows who we are b/c of 1) God’s Providence over us, 2) God’s Presence around us, and 3) God’s Plan for us. I hope this encourages and heals you as you journey. Special thanks to Tempest Anderson for sharing her testimony it really brought things home for us.
Hope you have a wonderful week!
