All I do is win!!!
Happy Monday Family and friends, I hope each of you are doing well and getting off to an awesome week. We had an excellent and busy weekend, and I hope that you are encouraged by this week’s Monday Moments.
This weekend Cherelle and I traveled to Richmond to support a non-profit entitled DEON in it’s annual 3K walk fundraiser. This non-profit was founded by a cousin of mine, and my mother is on the board. DEON’s mission is to empower communities with positive avenues to adderss issues surrounding youth and young adults. DEON is an acronym that stands for Drugs, Education, Obesity and Nutrition. We had an excellent time supporting the non-profit and my family. Also Chloe had a chance to play with some of the ducks at the park. (pics attached) For more info on DEON visit their website: http://www.deonintervention.org.
While in Richmond we had the opportunity to visit both sides of the family, and I can truly say that we are blessed with a family that loves God, and serves God. Our parents, aunts & uncles, and cousins are very encouraging for us as we continue to strive as pastors, and parents. Side note we had an opportunity to go to an awesome restaurant that I want to give my public endorsement to: Bass Pro Shop Fish Company Restaurant. Cherelle’s aunt treated us to lunch there, and I encourage seafood lovers to go!
All I Do is Win!
This past Sunday we finished up Romans 8:31-39. Here is what we covered: 4 major Questions are asked and answered:
1) What then shall we say to these things? How do we explain/deal with the things we face?
2) Who shall bring a charge against us?
3) Who is he who condemns?
4) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
In these verses we hear some of the most confident faith written by Paul, he is full of admiration and amazed at the power and presence of God in our lives. The promise we gathered out of this text is that we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Jesus Christ! In other words: ALL I DO IS WIN. We win because there is 1) No Domination– God is for us, 2) No Condemnation– We are God’s elect, and 3) No Separation from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.
It is my hope that we are encouraged by this scripture, and that no matter what, we stay in the fight! I want to give a special thanks to Mrs. Cynthia Thomas for sharing her testimony this past Sunday as well. Many were greatly encouraged by her words and transparency!
As we close out the 7th month of the year, I am excited to see all of what the Lord has done already this year. This upcoming Friday is my birthday as well, and I am very grateful for seeing another year!
I pray that you all have a grace filled week in the Lord!
