Hey family and friends, I hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas holiday, and that you are excited about this upcoming year. Here are this week’s Monday Moments:
Cherelle, Chloe & I had a wonderful Christmas. We stayed in HArrisonburg, and celebrated with some friends and spiritual family and my side of the family the day after Christmas. I have to tell you about my new wheels! Cherelle surprised me with a bicycle. I have been getting into cycling over the past 4 months, and had vision to start cycling throughout the city for exercise & prayer time. I took it out for a ride on Saturday and absolutely enjoyed it! I rode a total of 8 miles, and that night I felt every one of those miles, lol. But it was exciting and something I have been desiring to do for a few years.
My time with my family in Richmond was amazing. We had a ball dancing, playing cards, laughing, and capturing moments on camera that will go down in history! Chloe turned the party out dancing with my cousins, aunts, and uncles.
DUCC is multiplying:
It has been said multiple times that there is something in the water at DUCC. We have quite a few young married couples and they are being fruitful and multiplying! Over the past month, we have had 3 couples announce that they are expecting new babies to their families. We are excited to celebrate and encourage them in this seasons. Special shout out to the Nate & Tab Parrot, and AJ & Angel Mosley. One more couple announced yesterday so I will release their announcement next week.
Finding Comfort in Chaos:
This past Sunday, Pastor Marcus preached at DUCC. Marcus serves as the campus pastor for all of our college students at the church. His topic was Finding Comfort in Chaos. Marcus did an excellent job ministering the word of God and I am confident that many people were blessed, and freed yesterday. I want to say a public thanks to Marcus for being a man after God’s own heart.
New Year, Greater Focus:
It is hard to believe that an entire year has gone by already. This year has been full of challenges and opportunities, and I can truly say that as I look back on this year I believe that the Lord has done some marvelous work in my heart maturing me and giving me wisdom concerning His will for my life, family, and ministry. I want to encourage you as you close our this year give some time, thought, and prayer in reflection to the things you have experienced this year, and also the many ways that God has blessed you. In this time begin to think about what the Lord desires to do in and through you in this upcoming year. Let’s hit the ground running in this new year full of faith believing that God has great things ahead of us.
In the Master’s will,
