Happy Monday family and friends! I hope each of you are doing well and enjoying the start of another great week in the Lord. This weekend was great, and I am excited to share with you the many things we experienced.
Daddy-Daughter Date
As Valentine’s Day approaches, there is another date that eclipses that date for me, and that is Chloe’s birthday. Chloe will be turning 2years old this upcoming Friday. This past weekend we went out on our first official Daddy Daughter Date. We got all dressed up to head to a daddy daughter sweetheart dance. Cherelle was Chloe’s personal stylist. I pulled up to the door, rang the doorbell and Chloe was filled with excitement for me to see her hair and her “tutu” (dress). As soon as we walked in the building Chloe was ready to dance, but not with me but with the other kids. I gave her a pass because she is only 2, lol. This time with Chloe was very special for me though. As a pastor with a very busy schedule dedicated to helping and serving people, I want my wife and daughter to never want for my love or attention. So I constantly strive to spend quality time with them both individually and collectively. I am grateful for my two ladies and I want to live from a place of gratitude! Chloe & I have quite a few more dates to come and I am sure I will get my dance.
The Engine:
This past Friday we had our first “Engine” service. This service is a time for people to connect with God through worship, prayer, praise, and prophecy. Pastor AJ led us into a time of activation breaking the sound barrier that so often hinders us in church. As we read scriptures from Revelation praise roared! As we prayed and surrendered to the presence of God, the Holy Spirit spoke to us and through us. It was truly a monumental moment for us as a church. So we encourage you to meet us at The Engine the first Friday of each month at 7:30pm!
Becoming Biblically Big:
This past Sunday we had our 2nd of 4 anniversary services, and this week we had one of our Apostolic leaders of our Every Nation Church family, Pastor Brett Fuller of Grace Covenant Chantilly to minister. He is one of the most gifted communicators that I know, but more importantly he sets an awesome example of living an integral life. His leadership is clean and classy setting a standard of excellence in multiple aspects of life. I am humbled that God has brought men such as himself into my life to pastor and encourage me along this journey as a husband, father, and pastor.
His topic this Sunday was “Becoming Biblically Big” from 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. This passage features a character by the name of Jabez. He encouraged us to live a life that is centered around pursuing God’s heart, and that is what places us in position to receive the blessings of the Lord in our lives and our church. It was an encouragement to live right, believe right, and God will hear our prayers. For more of the notes please click here.
I want to publicly thank Pastor Brett Fuller and Grace Covenant Chantilly for their continual support and care for us as leaders and as a church.
Expand Update:
Our EXPAND campaign is still on the move as we surpassed $16,000 on our path to raise $20,000 to renovate our new space for classrooms, restrooms, and new lobby/meeting space. encourage you to continue to pray and give towards this vision. If you would like to give please click here to visit our giving page.
Gratitude:
As we continue to celebrate 3 wonderful years of Divine Unity Community Church, it is my hope that we will grow Biblically Big. It is not our desire to be known as a “big” church, but an impactful church. God is allowing us to experience miraculous things as a church. Thank you for being on this journey with me, my family, and the church. Whether you have been a silent supporter through prayer, financial contribution, or maybe you are a regular attender, either way I am grateful that God has connected us.
Trusting and Obeying the Father,
Pastor Chris
